An overview of interactive music (as opposed to linear music) and the possibilities for games (NB music not sound FX).

Discusses Microsoft's Direct Music Producer (a modular approach with pre-composed chunks of music) and SSEYO Koan (generative approach).

Discusses some of the different narrative structures of interactive music (cf. linear [film] music) and proposes four models:
narrative, continual, evolving and resolving]
each a developement of the previous model.
